Kinesio Taping

Michelle has completed a Kinesio Taping Fundamental and Advanced KT1 & 2 Equine course and is now available to apply Kinesio Taping.  Kinesio Taping is a lightweight, non restrictive tape that can be applied to a horse showing symptoms  of:

  • Acute and chronic pain
  • Muscle imbalance
  • Postural insufficiency
  • Circulatory and lymphatic conditions
  • Ligament, tendon and joint injuries
  • Fascial adhesions and scars
  • Pathological movement patterns

Kinesio Taping can help:

  • Improve muscle weakness during rehabilitation following an injury
  • Support tendons
  • Tissue healing
  • Inhibiting and facilitating muscles

Video shows Kinesio Taping applied to the left hind to help prevent toe drag. After application Moose’s owner Nikiki McGee reported “Definately more length of stride and bounce.”
Case history: Moose has been operated on by Ollie Crowe BVSc CertES(orth) DipECVS MRCVS of b & W equine Group to remove a bone cyst on his left stifle.
