In the beginning ……

When Michelle first sat on a pony from the age of two years old, she was hooked. It soon became obvious that she had a real flair and her quiet, yet effective style led to her being asked to compete for owners on native and show ponies from the age of twelve. Michelle has fond memories and was an active member of the Tedworth Pony Club throughout her early years, she is now a Senior Instructor and Committee member. Through British Eventing she competed on the Southwest JRN teams for 2 years.

These opportunities were a key motivation to her developing a career with horses. Her first passion has always been eventing and after completing her A levels she joined Angela Tucker as a working pupil. Here she gained valuable experience and support before setting up with her first yard. In 2015 through hard work and persistence, she took over the yard at White Horse Liveries.

Producing eventers

Her first eventer was ‘Ivorie Tower’ owned by Lisa Ainsley and Anne Egginton, who Michelle produced from pre-novice to 2* in 2007. She soon attracted rides on other horses and has produced them through the levels.

More recently she has taken My Man Mickie owned by Sarah Francis from BE100 to 4* level and who has now gained the necessary qualifications after completing Blenheim 4*L this year required for Badminton.

She has a small number of competition/schooling liveries available at any one time and if you are looking for someone to compete your horse, please give Michelle a call.

Training & Coaching

‘The more you know the less you know’ is a very apt quote when you build a career with horses. Michelle is a BHSI Performance Coach in Complete Horsemanship and UKCC L3 Coach.

Equine Massage Sports Therapy

Working with competitive sports horses really highlighted to Michelle how important it was to pay attention to their physical as well as their mental health. She believes that prevention is better than cure. Training with the world-renowned Mary Bromiley MBE, she gained a level 3 Diploma in Equine Sports Massage. This knowledge helps her spot and treat problems early before they have a chance to develop into something more serious.
